The Prey is a tense, psychological short film where visual effects play a central role in building atmosphere and dread. Aldea VFX handled the full VFX pipeline — from initial planning and breakdown to final delivery.
The work included environment extensions, practical enhancement compositing, and subtle but critical invisible effects that kept the viewer immersed in the story's world. The film went on to screen at several prestigious film festivals, with judges highlighting the quality of the visual work as a key factor in its success.
This project is a strong example of what IndieLab can achieve: festival-quality VFX delivered efficiently, on an independent production budget.
